Sayida Siyasa is a twenty something year old working professional who is a soon-to-be grad school applicant. She figures she can pay her debts to society by working for non-profits (that, or make her way to the poorhouse). She is interested in Middle Eastern politics, contemporary Islamic movements, international relations, and pretty much any issue related to questions of identity and culture. She created this blog to test her thoughts and ideas related to the above issues, and of course, occasionally vent at the insanity that is world politics. In her free time (whenever such an entity actually exists), she loves ice-skating, the fine arts, great coffee, and nice walks outdoors.
